Police are looking for two people after a man ‘was sprayed and set on fire’ on a man sitting in his car in the front yard of a petrol station.
West Midlands Strategies They have now released photos of two men they want to speak with in connection with the attack, which happened at their Texaco garage in Hemley Road, Brierley Hill, Dudley, around 7pm on Thursday.
The 20-year-old victim is hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
Police have released photos of two of the suspects, one of whom was Stephen Borden, 30, who left for Waynesbury in the Black Country.
In a TV photo released by the force, he appears to be wearing a Nike tie.
Another man, pictured wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit, is also wanted in connection with the incident.
If it is public spot staff, investigators said, they should not be approached, but people should call 999 instead.
Detective Inspector Jackie Nicholson said: “We urgently need to speak to these two men and would like to appeal to them directly to establish contact as soon as possible.
“We have reviewed CCTV in the area, spoken to a number of witnesses and our investigations are ongoing.
“If anyone has any information on Burden’s whereabouts or the second suspect, please contact us as soon as possible.”
