The Football Association’s board of directors, headed by Yasser Al-Mashal, recently announced the resignation of the vice-president of the referees’ committee, Abdullah Al-Aqeel from his post, in addition to the fact that this resignation was accepted, in addition to that, his decision was motivated by several reasons, including the fact that he had not accepted the policies of the committee during the previous period, and that Abdul Rahman Al-Omari was came in his place.

Appointment of Abdul Rahman Al-Omari
The Football Association Board of Directors has decided to appoint Abdul Rahman Al-Omari as Vice-Chairman of the Referees Committee, in addition to his duties of overseeing the Referees Sub-Committees, as the relevant committees will be assessed and restructured according to the new regulations, in addition to this, Al-Omari has technical and administrative experience. He was included in the work of the sub-committees until he reached the general supervision of the committees, in addition to this he has experience in arbitration, since he was a referee approved by the International Football Association “FIFA”, in addition to his current work as a resident and coach.
